Justice & Advocacy
As member of the Episcopal Charities Action Network, we are dedicated to addressing the root causes of poverty. Often these causes are embedded in unjust systems. We hope for every guest of our Wellness Center to feel empowered as agents of change in their own lives. To that end, we partner with organizations devoted to positive change making in our community.
We work with the community organizing group, Genesis, to help organize public action around such economic and health issues as access to health care and transportation, and immigration and economic reforms.
We participate in local events such as the Livermore Homelessness Forum, which has recently gained national attention for our community's public actions on homelessness.
For many years, our volunteers have participated in our local Crop Walk to raise funds and draw attention to ending hunger. We also receive updates on important economic reforms from CLUE (Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice) California.
Check back here for updates on ways you can put your passion for justice into action!
