enhancing the lives of community members
Who we are
The Big Heart Wellness Center is a network of support services helping community members improve the wellness in their lives. Grounded in the Interfaith Food Pantry and organically-grown Big Heart Garden, the Center offers nutritional education, legal assistance, mental health referrals and cooking classes to more than 200 clients each week.
Funded in part by a grant from the Episcopal Charities Action Network (ECAN), Southern Alameda County; the Center's programs are provided in collaboration with the Alameda County Community Food Bank (ACCFB); Bay Area Legal Aid (BALA); National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Tri Valley.
Help and advice with access to government programs is also available for Covered California (every Thursday, starting January 2016) and Calfresh (every 3rd Thursday).
